Our Story – Why We Are Here

African Talents Foundation was born from personal presence, not from distance.

Our story did not begin with a project proposal or a funding plan.
It began with real encounters — with children, schools and communities in Lagos — and with the realization that meaningful help can only grow out of direct human connection.

We are a small, independent foundation built on Hungarian–Nigerian cooperation, working closely with local schools and trusted community partners. We do not operate through intermediaries. We are present, we listen, and we respond to real needs as they appear.

What We Saw

In neighborhoods such as Makoko and Badagry, we encountered children who are eager to learn, play and grow — but who often lack the most basic resources:
school supplies, regular meals, safe learning environments, and opportunities to develop their talents.

What stood out was not only the hardship, but also the strength, dignity and potential of these children.

That is where our commitment comes from.

What We Do

African Talents Foundation focuses on practical, transparent support, including:

  • supporting local schools with learning materials and basic infrastructure
  • providing food assistance for schoolchildren and orphaned children
  • helping young football talents with training support and equipment
  • building long-term relationships with community partners in Lagos

Every initiative we support is based on direct knowledge, personal visits, and continuous dialogue with local educators and families.

Why It Matters

We believe that change does not start with large systems — it starts with trust.
When children feel seen, supported and respected, real opportunities can grow.

Our foundation exists to create those opportunities, step by step, child by child.

Looking Ahead

This website is not only a place to learn about our work.
It is an invitation to walk with us — to understand where help is truly needed, and how it can make a difference.

As you continue exploring, you will find stories from our school visits, our community partnerships, and the programs we are building together with local partners in Lagos.

This is our story.
And it is still being written.
